Information on how Anime and Manga got started
I really don't know alot about this but I'll try. Manga came into veiw with someone explaining Japan's Economy by drawing it in a comic book form. This kind of story telling caught the public interest as something new, and the rest is history. Later, someone got the bright idea of animating these comics. Thusly, Anime. I will try to find out more.

Dragonball
Dragonball is Goku's adventures before Dragonball Z.
I could not recount in this little space here what all happens in Dragonball, all I can say is: it's one heck of a ride. Goku meets many, many people. He even meets Piccolo, for you DBZ fans. I personaly like Drragonball more then DBZ, 'cuz Goku's a cute lil' mokey boy! Dragonball Z Dragonball Z is the rest of Dragonball. Goku's all grown up, and married Chi-Chi. Dragonball Z takes place ten years after the end of Dragonball. At first has just Gohan, his eldest son. Later he has Goten. He finds out his is of an alien race called "Sayians", and he meets lots of differnt people, including his older brother, Raditz, and the prince of all Sayians, Vegeta. Goku has more bad guy fights then adventures now, but it is still entertaining. G Gundam G Gundam is about a man named Domon Kashu, his partner Rain Mikamura, their quest to find the Dark Gundam, and the International Gundam fight. In this future age, many people live up in space colonies, and to prevent war, they make giant machines called "Gundams", and they fight and fight and fight, untill only one is left standing. The country it reprents will rule over all space for four years, untill the next fight. Domon is looking for his brother, who controls the Dark Gundam, to destroy it and his brother. But there are many twists and turns for our hero...G Gundam, a definate must see. InuYasha Inuyasha is about a half demon-half human boy, traveling to look for shards of the Sacred Jewel of Four souls, the Shikon-No-Tama. It has much power, and can be used for good, but it never has...He is traveling with a girl. Who is the reincarnation of his former girl-friend. And the girl-friend and Inuyasha were tricked into killing each other, for the Sacred Jewel. By an evil demon, Naraku. Then an evil witch bring his gril-friend back to life, and now she wants to kill him. Or so she SAYS...And they're joined by a monk who asks all ladies to bear him a son...and a lady demon slayer...and a little fox demon...You have to see it! Lupin the 3rd Lupin the 3rd, travels around stealing things with his friends Goemon, a Sumuri, and Jigen, a sharpshooter so sharp, he can shoot the antenne off an ant at 50 paces. His love, and rival, Fujiko, sometimes helps him, sometimes makes off with the loot. But, he always takes her back...The episodes are not linked together, so join in one, and join the fun! Yu Yu Hakusho Yu Yu Hakusho follows the tale of a 14 year-old boy, Yuske Urameshi. It starts with him being dead...and his way to get his life back. After he gets it back, he is made Spirit Detective. His job is to go capture, or kill, evil demons. He gets joined by Kurama, a spirit fox, Hiei, a fire apparition, and Kuwabara, the guy with good fighting skills, but mostly a comedy relief.
